Bonsoir, je suis une musicien d'origine Suédois et j'ai une superb piano concert de mark Malmsjö/Steinway 275 cm largeur et tout renovée en très bon etat a vendre pour 15.000 € !!!

I reluctantly have to sell this fantastic instrument that was made in Sweden at the famous Malmsjö factory in Gothenburg 1930 and the interesting thing with this model is that it is 1 of only 2 remaining in the world, the other one is placed in a chateau in Sweden and my instrument is in excellent condition with a wonderful sound and a perfect action/mechanique and has been renovated/refurbished 2010 with new nails and hammers + strings by an expert technician from Bösendorfer Wienna*

The chief engineer from Steinway New York had just gone over to the Malmsjö factory during the 1920's and developed this and other series with implemented Steinway technology and made the already excellent Malmsjö into super grand-pianos that in many ways are the ultimate and even better than original Steinways according to 3 different experts having examined this great instrument!!!

The grand needs a french-polish on the lid otherwise it is in perfect condition, no cracks etc resonance board perfect and the action is so super.

It is available in Finistère dept. 29 and the buyer will have to organise the transport, price is 15.000 € which is low but I need to sell it quick as I go back to Sweden in February, it is worth a lot more as anyone with some knowledge of the market will understand.
It is a must see, try and listen occasion and you will fall in love with this instrument right away***

Ceci dit c'est une très belle bête : il a beaucoup de charme, surtout pour le cadre.

Pourquoi vous séparer d'un tel piano ? par manque de place ?

hello Bechsteingirl, I am very sad to have to sell this one favourite instrument of mine, I have had Blüthner and another smaller Malmsjö as well but this one is Rolls Royce for sure!!!

I am going back to Sweden shortly as things don't work out for me here in france the wya I had hoped and dreamed for, i am a pianist and soundengineer with a professional studio and have decided to go back and this one bête is too big to transport 1 more time I feel so therefore it has to be sold.

Bonsoir, concernant les "bulbes" on ( 3 different experts/accordeurs/techniciens en Suède et Autriche) me dit c'est seulement pour decoration et peut-etre une peut pour la resonance, je ne sais...it is beautiful anyway and the sound from this instrument is something else, I have played on the best Steinways in Sweden, the best Blüthners, Bechsteins and Schimmels, also old Pleyels and Bösendorfers in Wienna, this one called Malmsjö is king of them all unless you compare to the Imperial grand or maybe the finest August Förster concert grands, every grand is an individual of it's own however so one should not generalise too much either*

Ici des photos supplementaires, le prix en bas auhjourd-hui donc je demand 12.500 € et c'est la dernière chance avant mon retour à Suède le 10 Fevrier!

This concert-grand has been kept in a controlled climate for it's entire life with 50-60 % humidity and 17-18 degrees celsius!

Malmsjö was considered as one of the top-makers in Scandinavia and Sweden which has a good tradition of pianomaking, excellent wood (of course) and very skilled builders and engineers working hard and with respect to detail just like the germans.
Regarding the master Alfred Ågren from Steinway New York he came in already in 1891 and not in the 20's as I wrote in my first post...
Malmsjö became " Kunglig hofleverantör" in 1893 it means something like "appointed by the King to make and sell" etc, it is one among the highest ranks a company could get very prestigious etc* (look at the "logo" in my photos).

POurquoi ne pas le mettre 'en pension' chez quelqu'un pour le récupérer à votre retour, c'est dommage de se séparer d'un tel instrument dont vous avez l'air d'être très amoureux !

Il faut s'assurer que l'hébegeur n'est pas un passionné de piano, parce que si ce n'est pas le cas, ça va faire des histoires le jour où il faudra le récupérer .......

Svp pas des hebergements etc, time is running and I will certainly keep this grand-piano myself if no one will buy it before Feb. 10 when I go back, the French don't seem to understand what a precious piece of instrument this is, I have played many pianos here in Brittany and no one comes even close to this quality of feel and sound, maybe it is meant to go back home to Sweden!

je dirais que les "bulbes" sont des résonnateurs de helmoltz servant à amplifier (au détriment des autres) sélectivement une petite bande de fréquence (comme sur le udu drum), et également à faire durer (dans cette bande) la résonnance plus longtemps, comme sur le vibraphone

Certainement un son très long dans les basses ..
Par contre les espèces d'assiètes creuses chromé (et pas doré comme le reste) c'est pas ce qu'il y a de plus joli.
Chez un "orfèvre du cadre" concurrent, il avait fait des resonnateur, couleur doré en en forme de couronne de roi (il manquait que la petite croix au dessus, c'était plus joli) mais le piano était plus ancien.

quelle surprise!
je me suis à peine inscrite hier sur ce forum car je désire acquérir un piano à queue et avais besoin de conseils
je suis pianiste amateur,amoureuse de musique ,j'écris de la musique en autodidacte et travaille autant que je peux à combler mes lacunes..
j'ai une expérience très réduite dans la pratique de différents pianos ,le mien est un Yamaha U1...
je n'étais pas vraiment partie sur cette possibilité ,je souhaitais un grand 1/4 de queue ou un 1/2 queue ancien qui ait du caractère,...
mais il est beau!il me plait!
...j'aimerais l'entendre..
j'ai une pièce destinée à devenir salle de musique de 5x5 m. où je souhaiterais réunir des musiciens passionnés et 12 500 € (qui sont vraiment mon maximum en grattant les fonds de tiroir) disponibles rapidement.

ça me semble trop petit pour accueillir ce piano à queue de concert. Un quart de queue ou demi queue (avec travail sur l'accoustique de la pièce) serait plus adapté je pense.
