Pearl River Piano Group announced on Tuesday 19th Jan that its subsidiary in Europe had signed an agreement to purchase a 90% stake in Europe’s largest piano maker, Josef Schimmel Pianos. Pearl River Piano expects the buying of the century old piano maker Schimmel increase its brand image and craftsmanship so that it can expand from just having the make Ritmuller. Pearl River also manufactures three models for Steinway and Sons' "Essex" brand piano line, including two grand pianos and an upright, in their factory in Guangzho
